Waiting, watching

Fear embedded
Society’s soul
Every corner
Hides a troll

Lovers yearn
Just to touch
Six feet
Is too much

Friends unmasked
Not friends at all
Government builds
Higher walls

Civilizations crumble
When evil reigns
Weeping children
Endless pain

Hope survives
