A Poem ... Enlightened Mind

Enlightened Mind

Companion-less
Lonely road
Broken heart
Heavy load

Ghost wanders
Alternate plain
Returns home
Yet again

Cosmic darkness
Hazy soul
Quickened breath
Body whole

God’s playground
Eternal deep
Journey’s path
Endless sleep

Blazing Star
Metamorphic Light
Solar winds
Celestial kite

Time slips
Infinite speed
Enlightened mind
Finally freed

A Poem ... Dangerous Crutch

Dangerous Crutch

Tunnel black
Shadowed trees
Winding path
Nervous knees

Siren call
Deep within
Lust strong
Can’t begin

Heart hurting
Knife sharp ridge
Laughter close
Perilous bridge

Piercing eyes
Gentle touch
Desire, hunger
Dangerous crutch

Strongest will
Turn around
Walking straight
Without sound

Home safe
Bolted door
Memories drift
Evermore

A Poem ... Haunted Knowledge

Haunted Knowledge

There's a place
Where the beach is white
People laugh and never fight

Lazy days
Dolphins leap
Bursting from navy deep

Dancing drops
Each afternoon
Singing such a lovely tune

Thrilling flavors
Each bite and drink
Luxurious time to sit and think

End of day
Setting sun
Haunted knowledge "he's the one"

A Poem ... Home Early

Home Early

Some geese
Flew
Home early

Summer lake
Frozen over
Thick winter ice

Journey's
End
Unexpected

Florida
Never looked
So Nice

A Poem ... Endless Thirst.

Endless Thirst

Grasses dance,
  Bound by root
Whistling winds,
  Nature's flute

Lovers gaze,
  A setting sun
Afraid to stay,
  Afraid to run

Hearts beating,
  Quickened breath
Every moment,
  Little death

Known path,
  Well traversed
Lake of love,
  Endless thirst.

A Poem ... Winter's Net

Winter's Net

Warped shed
Grey and bent
Years of storm
Heaven sent

Farrowed fields
Long Asleep
Snow blanket
White and deep

Memories flood
Forgotten youth
Shadows blend
Fable with truth

Glacier valley
Wide and old
Granite walls
Vast, so cold

Frigid wind
Whistles past
Winter's net
Flung and cast

A Poem ... I Was Lost

I Was Lost

Silent sentinels of amber light
Line the streets of darkest night

Deathly still and ramrod straight
Show the path to heaven's gate

Huddled masses move in sync
Along the abyss before the brink

Slippery long is that slope
Depths of pain without a hope

Winds gust and slumber call
Easier to stop, stay and fall

Sirens of an almighty deep
Call the living from their sleep

Awake, Rise, find the way
The goal is clear you've gone astray

Memories of a better life
Guide the weary through the strife

Gates open; wide and bright
Laughter, tears fill the night

I was lost,  you called for me
Home at last and ever free
