Just a Start

Spirit swells
Breaking free
Racing past
Emerald sea

Jacob’s ladder
Filled with ghosts
Never ending
Heavenly hosts

World shrinks
Disappears
Love lost
Drying tears

Infinite stars
Eternal rest
Home again
With the blessed

Gossamer thin
Spider thread
Joins the living
And the dead 

Commune again
Gentle friend
Just a start
Not an end
